Every business, large or small, shares at least one common goal, to grow its clientele. A primary tool for making this happening is by keeping in front of your clients with automation. This is a crucial element for business growth, as it allows the company to experience positive ROI, expand its territory and to become a dominant presence in its industry. 

The longer a company is in business, the more necessary it becomes for their methods to expand as well. The initial habit of asking your customers to tell their friends about you still has its advantages, but is nowhere near as effective as it was in the beginning. The average business today is spending a portion of their marketing budget on email campaigns, blog entries, social media posts and newsletters are all a part of the method but it must be strategically planned in order to be effective. This is where automation makes the biggest difference and has the greatest impact. Non-strategic marketing can cause your business more harm than good and can also limit your business earnings.

Provide Regular and Timely Updates

Businesses tend to fall into the habit of sending email updates, newsletters and other important information sporadically. The issue with this is that there is no structure to the mode of customer communication. Sending customer rewards, requests or appointment reminders at random times can be ineffective. Consistent and timely updates are more effective in keeping clients updated and excited about the information being shared with them. Without a structured automation program, it becomes habit to send out mass or individual communications whenever it just feels right. Although the communication may bring minimal benefit, the effects are better felt when a structured method is applied.

Careful organization of time and designating a specific block of time that is dedicated to email campaigns, social media efforts and other outreach channels can significantly increase client response. The greatest part of it all is that these are all efforts that can be automatically activated, which is what I do for my communications for my insurance clients at Blue Wave. It is what automation does for your business that generates positive and more effective responses from your clients, which in turn increases the success and growth of the business. 

Automation Permits Consistent Communication

What happens when the staff meeting is held at the beginning of the month and one employee is delegated with the task of sending out email blasts on two different dates? Likely the employee and the delegator will add this task to their list of things to do with every intention of executing the order. This item accompanies others on the list that may include, add a blog post to the business website, send out a thank-you card to new clients and other things that fall under the strategy of establishing client rapport. With these things and all else that must be done in the office, it is not unlikely that a few things may get put-off, forgotten or moved around. In fact, the proposed date of the email blast was determined to be the best date based on research done by experts in the industry. However, due to a late meeting or client consult, the email didn’t happen on the 5th but was sent out on the 7th. Does this change things? Possibly so, and it also helps to put the importance of automation into perspective. Automation permits consistent communication because of the ability to pre-schedule things on an automated system. Once scheduled, they will automatically execute at the assigned time. If you have an established client base that consists of multiple clients, chances are there is not enough time to communicate important information to all clients at once. Time is never an issue when communicating via an automatic system. 

Conversion rates increase, client relations improve and most importantly, income will increase for the business with the use of automated systems. Research has shown that companies who switched to automated systems experience an increase of up to 50% in conversion rates. This is automation of not only emails and newsletters, but also includes personalized, regular communication that is aimed at communicating via a variety of channels that position you as an expert in content matter, allowing you to address individual client needs and develop the trust they need to rely on the business and services completely.

Deliver Content that is Valuable to the Objectives of Your Clients

Always respect the relationship you have with clients and let them know that you have this respect. This will make them remember you when talking to others in search of services or products your brand represents. Little things matter such as, sending out birthday emails, 1st anniversary or 12th anniversary wishes and other personal milestones that you are knowledgeable of about the clients. 


What causes clients to remember your business or service even more is when you share content with them that they actually need or want to read. Automation makes this not only possible, but extremely effective. Automation options not only include email and social media content but also:
  • Programs that welcomes and thanks new clients following their first visit
  • Programs that remind clients to purchase products, gift certificates or “hot” priced items
  • Programs that reach out to clients that haven’t utilized your services or products in a while

Automation service options are widespread and can really help businesses organize their client profiles to establish and schedule quality content communications with huge impact and significant results. Technical applications and brief planning can help you devise an automation plan that allows you to work less, while better managing your time and keeping ahead of your clients. This process permits you to always be connected to your clients and your business. As a result, clients remain loyal or faithful to the services or products you provide and refer new customers to your business. The task of implementing effective marketing can be extremely challenging for one individual, especially if you are also charged with the task of taking care of follow-up calls, invoicing, email replies and customer service issues as well. Automation helps to improve the quality of the tasks that can be automatically performed, while generating more customers for the business also.
